Course Details

The first few weeks are mostly theory covering everything from Freud to Fogazzi. Much of the materials are from notes taken during lectures and from class materials from the 1970's and 80's. In this theory section you will be asked to try and duplicate the experiements that created behavior theories of operant conditioning, classical conditions, associative and social learning. None of this is new, however, over the years, with hundreds of interpretations of this material, we give it to you in as pristine a for as we could find without the interpretations that have occured in the world of dog training over the last 30 years.

Once you are through the theories and methods that have existed for decades, you will start demonstrating that you understand and can duplicate the mechanics of the methods used with behavior theory and learning.

Then starts the games. Creating games, refining games, creating variations based on situations and the abilities of the dog and human in front of you. You will also learn to create a chain of games that would be necessary to create a specific behavior change or perfect a "trick". At the end, you will create your own 3 three training curriculum to help with yourself with any issue that you have with your own or a client dog.
